Current CMMC Status

On July 13, 2026, the Department announced the immediate suspension of CMMC Phase II requirements that had been scheduled to begin November 10, 2026. Phase I remains in effect. The current program continues to use Level 1 annual self-assessments for applicable Federal Contract Information and Level 2 self-assessments for applicable Controlled Unclassified Information, with results and affirmations handled through SPRS as required. The Department also states that the underlying DFARS cybersecurity obligations remain in place. Are you a certified third-party assessor?

No. Forward Security Labs provides readiness, documentation, and advisory support to prepare you for an assessment. Official certification assessments are performed by accredited third-party assessment organizations.
